Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' review

Posted : 4 months, 3 weeks ago on 18 December 2023 03:05 (A review of Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F')

A complete absurdity that just drags on and on and somehow manages to have filler in a 93 minute movie, the two relevant events are only this: the remaining of the army of Freezer manages to resurrect Freezer, Freezer invades the earth.

That could perfectly have been a 40 or even a 25 minute special, guess it needed to be a movie to reel in cash.

Cell 211 review

Posted : 5 months ago on 9 December 2023 10:26 (A review of Cell 211)

Wish this was good, the themes are interesting but half explored, the characterization is sometimes inconsistent and the execution feels too much like "the script needs this to happen", 4/10

The Powerpuff Girls Movie review

Posted : 5 months, 1 week ago on 1 December 2023 05:22 (A review of The Powerpuff Girls Movie)

Should have been a 40 minute special instead of a full movie, it just doesn't have that much to tell, and to compensate this some scenes drag on and on beyond when the point is already well understood, the tag game alone eats 7 minutes.

The Flash review

Posted : 10 months, 1 week ago on 5 July 2023 06:06 (A review of The Flash)

Best seen if you don't take this movie seriously at all, both protagonists are unbearable and it's filled with pointless cameos

Avatar: The Way of Water review

Posted : 1 year, 4 months ago on 24 December 2022 04:43 (A review of Avatar: The Way of Water)

Painfully mediocre and bland, everything that is told in this movie has been thousand of times in oher movies, with the same characters, with the same narrative flow, with the same resolutions.

Every character in this movie are completely flat and is painful when the movie hints that they may have depth to then not deliver.

The second act is both slow and fast as nothing as relevant as the first and the third happen, but everything that is told goes so fast that lacks any depth, making the movie awkardly too long and too short both at the same time.

On a little sidenote, the CGI looks a bit aged.

Being the screenplay so simple, there are not many ways to cruelly mess it up, hence it cannot get a lower score.

It's just that it has nothing new to tell, nothing new to speak about, nothing groundreaking or revolutionary.

4/10

One Piece Film: Red review

Posted : 1 year, 5 months ago on 22 November 2022 12:52 (A review of One Piece Film: Red)

Absolute trash riddled with plot holes that also manages to get pretentious with a barely touched message about escapism never covered in depth crowned with subpar animation. But it is fun like no other at least.

3/10

Chicken Little review

Posted : 1 year, 6 months ago on 6 November 2022 09:33 (A review of Chicken Little)

Coming from Disney, it's shoking that the design, color, ilumination and design is so terrible, with 3D films like Toy Story having aged better with an almost 10 year gap.

The plot is kind of like it doesn't know what it wants to do, where it wants to go, so at the end of the movie it's not clear what the point or conclusion was, wrapped up with terrible characters everywhere, leaving only Chicken Little and his father as two merely "ok" characters.

Cruella review

Absolute disaster riddled with conveniencies and plot holes that the film tries to cover with a kind of "rule of cool"
